The therapeutic way to holistic wellness
Yoga - The Therapeutic Way
The therapeutic employment of Yoga entails the application of yogic practices for the purpose of curing illness, herein defined as disorders or diseases arising in any part or system of the human body. It is our contention that specific Yogic practices are instrumental in treating inefficiencies in the functioning of body parts and systems and overcoming the illnesses manifested by them.
The ultimate goal of Yoga is the union of the mind and spirit of human beings with the almighty, the Infinite or the divine. While observing the consequences of the practice of Yoga, it was frequently noted that in addition to Yoga leading to spiritual liberation, many people's ailments appeared to be cured consistent with the practice of yoga.
Parallel Treatment
In diseases like Diabetes, Hypertension and Asthma, Yoga acts in parallel to medical treatment, often reducing the need for medicine over time.
Supportive Agent
Certain Yogic processes boost the effect of medication, increase resistance and overall health, supplementing medical treatment.
Preventative Impact
The unique feature of Yoga is its preventative impact. "An ounce of prevention is worth more than a pound of cure."

Mudras - Universal Secrets Within Five Fingers
Mother earth is constituted of five fundamental power elements. Similarly, humans are also composed of and controlled by the same five indispensable elements. Ancestral Tamil Varma literatures have clearly highlighted the "Essence of five elements" hidden within our fingers.
Ring Finger
Earth Element
(Prithvi)
Little Finger
Water Element
(Appu)
Thumb
Fire Element
(Theyu)
Index Finger
Air Element
(Vayu)
Middle Finger
Space Element
(Akash)
Equalizing
Method: Tip of the thumb should touch the respected finger tip (based on the element to be balanced).
Example - Prithvi Mudra: Touch the tip of the thumb (fire) with the tip of the ring finger (earth) to balance earth element.
Increasing
Method: Tip of the thumb should touch the respected finger base (based on the element to be increased).
Example - Aditi Mudra: Touch the base of the ring finger (earth) with the tip of the thumb (fire) to increase earth element.
Decreasing
Method: Tip of the thumb should gently press the respected fingers (based on the element to be decreased).
Example - Surya Mudra: Touch the base of the thumb (fire) with the tip of the ring finger (earth) and gently press to decrease earth element.
Chakras and Elements
Each chakra has its own characteristics. By doing a particular Mudra with the knowledge of the element composition of the corresponding Chakra, even the nature of the chakra can be altered.
"The Svadhishthana chakra ruled by lord Brahma is responsible for creation. Doing earth Mudra close to the Svadhishthana chakra favors the production of healthy sperms. These facts are beyond the reach of the advanced medical researches and technologies of the current day."
Siddha Philosophy on Human Potential
"Man is the only creation on earth who can control the five elements of nature and amend the course of nature. He has the potency to brighten the light of the soul and integrate with the almighty."
To facilitate these things, God has blessed us with a highly compatible art called Mudra.
